The arrival orientation will help you learn what you need to know to be successful during your stay with Intrax. Whether you choose English, Business, TOEFL, Cambridge or Career preparation programs, your first day at Intrax will introduce you to our staff, the neighborhood and our facilities.

Intrax Orientation Schedule:

During your program, our staff will be available to answer your questions, help you solve problems and give you advice on how to make your English education experience better. You'll be supported by Intrax’s student advisers, teachers, student ambassadors, supervisors and the Center Director.

In addition to providing help when you ask for it, our team members will ensure that the English or Business program you have selected is working for you. This begins with the initial counseling session during your arrival orientation and continues with follow up sessions during and at the end of your program. Be sure to tell your Student Advisor about anything that is on your mind. He or she is there to help you get an education for success!

Traveling to the United States to study at Intrax is about more than just sitting in a classroom. It's an opportunity to experience the people and culture of the city where you are studying so that you gain a full immersion experience. Intrax San Francisco has an exciting activities program designed to get you out of the center, using your English in real-life situations and experiencing everything San Francisco and its surrounding areas have to offer. Your Student Advisor also has valuable information about excursions, day trips and vacation opportunities.

Intrax San Francisco offers Homestay or Residence Club accommodations. Living with a family in a Homestay is a unique way to experience American traditions and culture first hand. It's also a great opportunity to become fully immersed in the English language. If you choose to live in a Residence Club you will enjoy an independent living situation with an international atmosphere, dormitory-style housing and meal options or shared kitchen.

Traveling is tiring and can be overwhelming even if you feel confident in your English language skills. Our staff can work with you to either recommend the best and most affordable route on public transportation to your accommodation or organize your transportation to and from the airport to make your arrival and departure easier.
Our transportation service includes meeting you at the curbside arrival area of the airport and dropping you off with your host family or at the residence club. Upon departure, you can also request to be picked up from your housing and dropped off at the departure area of the airport in plenty of time for your return flight home. In order to take advantage of this service, you must provide your detailed flight information to Intrax at least two weeks before your arrival or departure date.

This fair happens every spring and fall and is your chance to discover vocational, certificate, undergraduate and graduate level study options for your academic career after Intrax. It is an opportunity to meet American university international student advisors to get free visa and study advice. The fair is open to anyone interested in receiving information about studying in the United States.

When you finish your Intrax program, we want to celebrate your success! Intrax San Francisco holds a student graduation ceremony every Thursday afternoon. During the ceremony, the Center Director presents graduates with a signed certificate of completion and takes a picture with you. This event is a great way to celebrate graduating students' achievements with current students, teachers and staff.

For Intrax students interested in attending a U.S. college or university, we offer a special service to help you achieve your goals. Over the years, hundreds of Intrax students have used our college and university advising services to successfully enroll in such prestigious San Francisco institutions as:

• San Francisco State University
• University of California Berkeley Extension
• California State University East Bay
• Chabot Community College

These are just a few of the schools that have accepted Intrax graduates. You can enjoy this type of success by enrolling in any Intensive or Super Intensive schedule, and then taking advantage of Friday appointments with a Student Advisor who can help you select a university or college program, assist you with the application forms, help you to prepare your application essay, and generally prepare you for success at the college or university of your choice.
